Knowledge
Wisdom is the principal thing;
therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
- Proverbs 4:7
Brethren:
Jesus said
“the truth shall set you free” but He didn’t say “the truth was free.” Truth
will cost you. It will cost you a
lot of time and mental anguish. It will
cost you a lot of money. That is all
education is: it is the quest for truth about any skill or discipline. We all expect to pay for our educations; but
somehow, people think that information about God should be free for the
taking. The people that think this way
get what they deserve: the charlatan’s scam.
Back in the 1990s,
we were one among a handful of viable sources on the Internet relating to the
Desposyni, Celtic Christianity, Jesus and Mary Magdalene, Grail theology and so
on. Now, the Internet is flooded with
them.
People that
cruise the Internet expect free information.
I do, too. You will find a lot of
free information on this website. We
want to minister to you; we want to help you on your spiritual journey. We don’t want to be stingy.
However, for
the really good stuff, you will have to pay for it. Sorry, that’s just the way it is. People are willing to pay for something that
is really important to them. Jesus
warned us not to “cast your pearls before swine.” He does not want people accessing information
that does not match their spiritual condition.
If you don’t have the right values, you will harm yourself and others
with esoteric knowledge. If our material
isn’t important enough to you to pay for it, then it isn’t important enough to
know.
Don’t think
that we are trying to get rich from this information – although, come to think
of it, it would be nice to be well-funded.
I can think of a host of useful projects that could be implemented if we
had more resources.
Instead,
consider the personal sacrifice that has been made to make the material on this
website available to you. If you feel
enriched spiritually by what you find here, perhaps you should cast a vote of
confidence with a financial contribution.
Believe me, of what can be known, the well is far from dry.
What the Bible
means by the word “wisdom” is esoteric
knowledge. A wise man in ancient times was
one who was initiated into the mysteries.
Such wisdom is like, as Jesus said, a person who finds a hidden treasure
in a field (Matthew
This kind of
wisdom cannot be certified by an academic degree. If you are looking for a litany of degreed
professionals, you will not find it here.
It is not that the
However, it is
not magical. Unlike the many other
websites you will find in our venue, we don’t believe in magic. Many Grail enthusiasts – especially in the
wake of recent bestsellers – think this is all about some psychic threshold in
human experience. They think it is some
process of deification. It is not.
The wisdom we
are interested in has to do with relationships and ethics. It requires virtue before it can be known.
This website
is not about getting you to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. There are plenty of websites that will do
that for you. Rather, we are concerned
about the next step for human civilization.
We are asking, “Where has traditional religion fallen short in changing
the world?” “What new spiritual symbols
and experiences are necessary before people will be truly fulfilled?” “How can we achieve a universal cosmic harmony
between souls?”
We ask these
questions in terms of ethics, not metaphysics.
We cannot change what it means to be human. But we can change what it means to be a whole
and completed person. If we will change
what it is in our power to change, perhaps someone higher than us will take
care of the rest.
So, when you
bump into our “Donation” buttons before you can get the rest of an article or
essay, don’t grumble. Accept it as part
of the journey. It helps us and it helps
you, because it makes you evaluate whether you really need the information or
not.
