(weekly updates)

January, 2005

January 29, 2005: Go to the Pesher Archives and reread the Peshers written in response to the 911 Attack. Remember when I warned about the President's impatient "pulling of the yarn"? It's happening, isn't it? The headlines are focusing on Iran as a possible military target. What is going on? This escalation is preemptive and doesn't make sense. There must be a hidden agenda. Hidden agendas are not usually honorable.

I need to inform you that the cycles of the Sun have turned into oscillations and spasms of record-breaking flaring followed by record-breaking inactivity - all within days or weeks, and not years as it has been traditionally. This seems to be a dangerous phenomenon. It is another indication that something big has entered our solar system or is about to enter. Go to Earth Changes for more information.

There seems to be enough problems in life to be concerned about cosmic anomalies like this. But the wise will factor in all the data. As Jesus said, "Watch".

Have a blessed week!

January 22, 2004: A new addition to the Family Abbey series has been posted to this website. The web page is getting quite long, so I may need to split it up next time. Scroll to the bottom, of course, to get the new material.

New attractive book covers have been designed for the books, The Mother Heart of God and Biblical Midwifery. Go to the booklist page to see the new look.

Homestead Update: Got the washer and dryer (propane) installed in the ministry house and our battery bank repaired. A chinook blew through this week with rain that melted all the snow at incredible speed. . . flooding. Temperatures have been in the 50s, making it possible to work on outdoor projects, if you can stay out of the mud. We usually get these every winter, followed by more snow and cold. It can be a nice break.

I understand the Midwest is not fairing so well at the moment. And I have received reports of unusual oscillations in the solar wind which may be contributing to weather extremes here on Earth.

More commentary on this in coming weeks if it continues.

The new King Arthur movie is out on DVD. Get it. When you watch it, you will get more information on Pelagius. And a suggestion: play the alternate ending first before the "real" ending. It ties the story together quite nicely.

Blessings to all!

January 15, 2004: Orientation for the Institute for Family Abbeys is scheduled for Tuesday, January 25th. This will be our pilot program. If you want to be a part of it, you need to contact me soon at james@grailchurch.org.

Radio Update: All that we need now for Internet radio is funding. We have the hardware and the software. A server for streaming audio will cost some bucks. My family's budget is exhausted. We will have to wait until someone out there wants to sponsor it. Email me if you want to help us with this.

Website Updates: None this week. No new articles or bulletins. I still want to encourage you to read the articles on Family Abbeys, if you haven't done so already. This is important material. It is describing an alternative to church. Another should be posted later in the coming week.

Have a blessed week.

January 8, 2004: Our storms are usually gentle here. We're digging out from a foot of snow with more on the way, but we get nothing like what California has been bombarded with the last two weeks. I understand the Midwest has been facing challenges, as well. Ice Age anyone?

Publishing Updates: The ISBN for Hierogamy & the Married Messiah (paperback only) has been listed on the Bowkerlink website. It is like the super mall for titles available on the market. I suspect that it will be discovered by a distributor in a month or two. We are taking orders now. Go to our Index page and scroll to the bottom for the "Donation" button. Click on that and it will take you to our secured server. Make a donation for $29.00 and enter "Hierogamy Paperback" in the Memo section. Make sure you enter your mailing address, as well. You should get it within two weeks. Thank you in advance. (By the way, this is the abridged edition).

Another installment has been added to the Family Abbeys series. This one is called "The Failure of American Religion." These articles are very important and will be published later as a book.

Homestead Update: Discovered a weak link in the battery bank for our solar charging system in the ministry house. Got that fixed, but not tested, yet. Our days are short this time of year (sundown is 4PM). Did get the shower installed. We have experimented with a kerosene/wood water heater. It works fine, except that it requires too much supervision (no thermostat). So, I'm thinking of taking the old propane water tank out of the camper and using that. For those of you who are interested in these sorts of things, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Didn't have much time to work on other projects. Where did the week go?

In Jesus,

James

January 1, 2005: Happy New Year! Yet another addition has been posted in the series on Family Abbeys. This should get me caught up.

Homestead Update: I hooked-up some solar panels this week for the ministry house, put a new distributor in the 4X4, and greeted our new neighbors. Sledding has been delayed for lack of snow. But it snowed yesterday and today. Maybe this will be a better week for some winter fun.

Institute Update: We are inching closer to starting our pilot program for the Abbey Institute. If you want a Prospectus with a Student Bulletin, let me know at james@grailchurch.org. Be sure to give me your mailing address.

Internet Radio came a little closer to reality this week. We've installed software and are testing the system. You may find some test audio files posted this week at http://www.grailchurch.org/radio.htm - five minute segments. We could be just two weeks away from having an audio ministry on the Internet. PTL!

Commentary on the News: The tsunami disaster in south Asia did not escape our attention. We grieved and prayed for those poor, hurting people. It is a grim reality that the earth is entering a much harsher period of changes and convulsions. See Earth Changes and Planet X for more thoughts on this topic.

Don't forget the new Pesher that was posted for Christmas. And the Bulletin Board has been updated with a few more additions, in case you want to greet the new seekers.

Have a blessed week!

James Stivers, Church Overseer
