EXPLANATION OF OUR NAME & LOGO

Cambria is a Celtic word which refers to the land of Wales, in Great Britain. It is all that is left of the Celtic Britons who were pushed out of England after the invasions of the Anglo-Saxons. The Welsh call themselves "the Cymry" (koom-ree) which means "my countrymen". The Cambrian Church in Diaspora refers to the scattering of Welsh Christians which began during the Tudor dynasty of England and ended with the formation of the American colonies. About a third of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were of Welsh descent.
THE CHALICE
The Chalice is the symbol of the Cup of the Covenant which contained the Wine of the Last Supper. It represented the Blood of Christ shed for the Atonement of Mankind. Legends say that Joseph of Arimathea brought the Cup - the Holy Grail, as it was called - when he came to Glastonbury. The Apostle Paul taught the mystery that there was a Church of the Host (the Body of Christ) and the Church of the Grail (the Blood of Christ). The Church of the Grail is the Church of the Kingdom which, like leaven, operates quietly in the world. The Cambrian Episcopal Church of the Grail stands as a link between that Mystery Church and the visible Apostolic Church. doctrine
THE CHI-RHO
To the right of the Cup is an ancient monogram called the "Chi-Rho" (key-roo). It is the first two letters of Christ in the Greek language. It was a favorite symbol among the early British Christians which archaeologists have found in many places. Some Chi-Rhos also had the letters Alpha (A) and Omega (W), which is the name Christ gave to Himself in the book of Revelation. It means He is the beginning and the end.
THE DRUID TRINITY
To the left is the Druidic symbol of the Trinity. Druidism was the only ancient religion which taught a Triune God, besides Christianity. One of their Trinity was Esu or Yesu. In the spirit of Acts 17 the early Apostles taught Jesus as the Druidic Yesu. The Druids readily recognized Him as their God and were easily converted.
THE CELTIC CROSS
The Celtic Cross is a common land-mark among the ancient ruins of the British Isles, mostly in Ireland. The ancient Irish Church was the first great success of Cambrian missions (St. Patrick was a Welshman). This beautiful Cross has the shape of the sun at its center, fulfilling such Scriptures as Psalms 89:36 and Malachi 4:2 which show forth the Glory of Christ's rising Kingdom. The more famous Celtic Crosses were used as visual aids. They contained various Biblical scenes chiseled onto their surfaces as memorials to future generations.
