WHAT IS GRAIL CHRISTIAINITY?
The Grail Religion can be described as a composite religion of Christianity, Judaism, and Paganism (paganism in its most positive form).
The Grail Church is Christian in the sense that it uses Christian symbols to express its doctrines and uses the Bible as its guide to faith and life. It teaches that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and that everlasting life is imparted to all who believe in His sacrificial death. We stand with traditional Christian doctrine and embrace the Ecumenical Creeds of the Church: namely, the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed. These Creeds teach the basic tenets of Christianity: Christ's Incarnation, His Virgin Birth, the Holy Trinity, the Resurrection, and so on. We believe in the miraculous origins of Christianity.
The Grail Church is Jewish in the sense that it believes Jesus Christ is the Messiah of Israel. He rules from Heaven in His resurrected body. The mediators of His Messianic Kingdom are not the leaders of Christianity but rather His kinsmen according to the flesh - called the Desposyni - and all those in fellowship with them. We accept the validity of the Mosaic Law as it was interpreted and applied by the New Testament Church which was led by James, the brother of Jesus. There are no longer any ritual or ceremonial laws from that law system which are still binding upon Israel, except for the Noahide laws as enunciated by James in Acts 15.
The Grail Church is a Nature religion in the sense that it embraces Natural Revelation: the light which the Creator has given to all mankind in the observations of science and conscience. Nature Religion (the old Paganism) was the religion of the ancients prior to the time of Moses, which included the Patriarchs of Biblical times and all Pagans which worshipped the true God (such as the Wise Men from the East). Indeed, it can be said that Chrisitianity is merely Paganism corrected by Special Revelation. The Grail Church views Nature as normative, although corrupted by the failure of man's rulership. As taught by all Nature religions, such as Druidism, it is the quest of man's dominion task to harmonize his relationship with Earth after the pattern established in the Garden of God. Unlike speculative religions such as Gnosticism, Zororastrianism, and Augustinianism, the Grail Church accepts our human sensuaility, not as a necessary evil, but as a part of our spirituality and life force. The quest of man is not a separation from his body, but the resurrection and redemption of his body. Material existence is a higher form than spiritual existence. The only higher form is the supernatural level, where beings are able to pass from material and immaterial existence at will.
Below are some of the teachings which are distinctive and unique to the Grail Religion:
SOME TEACHINGS OF THE GRAIL RELIGION
1. That Godkind is organized as a Family: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit with the Celestial Host, [1]
2. That the Feminine Principle in Godkind is manifested in the Person of the Holy Spirit, who is also known as Sophia in the Septuagint, the Bible of the Early Church, [2]
3. That the Organizing Principle of the Kingdom of God on Earth is the Grail Family, which is patterned after the Family of Heaven, [3]
4. That the canonical New Testament does not contain all of the teachings of Jesus, only those essential to personal salvation (John 20:30-31), [4]
5. That the oral teachings of Jesus which were passed-down by Apostolic tradition are authentic, and while they do not pertain to salvation, they do profoundly affect how we serve Him,*
6. That the Jamesian tradition of the Jerusalem Church was the original Apostolic tradition and has precedence over both the Petrine and Pauline traditions, [5]
7. That there are two churches which are held in Communion at the Eucharist: the Church of the Host (the Body) and the Church within the Church (the Grail), [6]
8. That Jesus Christ was phallic in marriage and had to be married, according to the Hebrew prophets, to be the true Messiah, [7]
9. That sexual union is meant to be sensual, fertile, and spiritual; it is not depraved nor is it Original Sin, [8]
10. That there are five religious rites: baptism, chrism, communion, redemption, and the bride chamber; and only in the Jamesian tradition can there be a completed liturgy, [9]
11. That the Creation is a part of the Body of Godkind: God is the Head and the Cosmos - "the Uni - verse" (one Word) - is His Body, [10]
12. That modern civilization is out-of-balance with the created order and that governments should stop persecuting agrarian movements which seek harmony with the Earth.[11]
The Church of the Grail in your community is a home-based ministry which uses the Internet to cross the miles to reach you. It embraces the Ecumenical Creeds of Christianity and teaches the Evangelical doctrines of personal salvation. Because the Anglican Church received a significant amount of its heritage from the Celtic Church, our liturgical reference for the Apostolic tradition is the Book of Common Prayer. We stand within the Cambrian Episcopal tradition. However, we do not believe that Anglicanism, Protestantism, Catholicism or Orthodoxy are adequate expressions of the Christian faith. The suppressed teachings of the Jamesian Church are essential to recapturing the true religion of Jesus Christ.

* The Fathers of the Early Church, such as Justin, Irenaeus, Clement, and others, sometimes refer to teachings of Jesus not found in the Bible. We believe they are valid. The Gospel of Thomas is another example. It is a corrupted text of an authentic Gospel record. We do not use it with the Canon, but we do use it if certain passages teach a doctrine corroborated by the Fathers. The Book of Enoch is another. It is quoted in the Bible by Jude, the brother of Jesus.
