The Ordinance of Footwashing: The Kingdom Come (James Wesley Stivers, 2003). An important study of the ceremony of "washing the saints' feet" as a ritual which completes the Holy Communion and which some of the early Fathers asserted was necessary for the forgiveness of post-baptismal sin. Restoring the Foundations and Eros Made Sacred (James Wesley Stivers, 1995 & 1991, respectively). Both archived studies on relational theology. The former seeks to rebuild a philosophy of social order on a familial interpretation of the Divine Trinity. The latter is concerned with sex and marriage and uses the issue of polygamy to contrast current moral biases with those found in the Bible. Provocative, yet edifying.
