APPLICATION FOR ENROLLMENT

“Go, ye, therefore, and enroll as disciples the nations”

n      Matthew 28:18 (literal rendering)

If you desire to be a part of the Cambrian Episcopal Church, there are three levels of membership - received from the Jerusalem Catholic Church - which we observe: the Catechumen, the Elect, and the Elect of the Elect.

The Catechumen is a believer who may be in one of three spiritual conditions: 1) He or She (women enter the Kingdom the same way as men do) may have been baptized but has not received chrism, or 2) He may have fallen from the faith and is in a process of restoration, or 3) He may have been baptized in a non-catholic body and has not yet been confirmed.  These people are permitted to receive the sacraments of the Word and sometimes the Eucharist (depending upon the Bishop’s ruling) and various other ministries of mercy which are exercised by the church (such as aid to the sick and dying, prayers of intercession, and so forth).

The Elect is a believer who has received confirmation into the Body of Christ and has entered into Christ’s Messianic Kingdom.  Such a believer is given dominion with Christ as a means of training for eternity.  Earthly ministries, such as rearing families, missionary work, or civil vocations, are all examples of “ruling with Christ”.  In other words, while the Catechumen is considered a disciple on probation, the Elect is a disciple entrusted with a commission. The Catechumen is a recipient of God’s grace; the Elect believer is a dispenser of God’s grace.

The Elect believer and the Catechumen represent the Church of the Host (discussed in our other literature). They enter the Kingdom of God by the “adoption through faith”.  The Elect of the Elect represent the Church of the Grail, those who receive the Kingdom as a fulfillment of the promises made to the Fathers.  They are the leaven of the Kingdom.  Their work in the world and in the Body of Christ is a mystery - meaning, it is hidden from the observation of men.  The Elect serve the Grail, and are in turn served by the Grail through the two Great Rites of the Esoteric Church, which are outlined in the Law of Moses and defined by the teachings of our Lord’s kinsmen: St. James and St. Jude (contained in the Cambrian Book of Common Prayer).

You must enter the Cambrian Episcopal Church as a Catechumen, even if you belong to the Elect or to the Grail.  Your place in the Kingdom of Christ will be determined during your time of probation, which may last as long as a sabbatical period (seven years).

The time of your probation is a time of instruction and testing.  You will be instructed and tested in the three facets of our existence: body, soul, and spirit.   You will be tested for your understanding, your obedience, your sacrifice, and your loyalty.

The beginning of your instruction and testing will be remote and non-invasive.  During this time, we will teach you the rudiments of the Jerusalem Tradition.  When you come to an understanding of our doctrines, you will initiate and choose your tests.  When you have completed them, we will evaluate you and then sponsor you for Elect membership of the Church.

Y or N.  My spouse accepts my decision to enroll in this Church.

Y or N.  I have received Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord and trust

             Him with my destiny.

Y or N.  I look to the Cambrian Episcopal Church for spiritual guidance.

Y or N.  I will terminate my membership in any other Church, although I

may continue to attend other churches.

It is important that you continue with whatever healthy relationships you may now have.  That is why we encourage you to attend the church of your choice to promote unity and edification.  However, you must realize that your commitment to this catholic body - the Cambrian Episcopal Church - takes precedence over all others.  Formal memberships in other churches are inconsistent with that commitment.  If you are unclear as to how to terminate your membership politely, please contact us and we will send a Letter of Notification to your church.

Please kneel and pray the following prayer:

"My Father in Heaven, I want to obey this desire that you have given to me to unite myself to your Holy Body in Jesus Christ. I will submit to those you put over me in the Cambrian Episcopal Church of the Grail, with the understanding that they are imparting to me the lost Tradition of your Church which I have a duty to learn and cherish.

"In the Name of your dear Son, Jesus Christ, I do pray. Amen."

I,_______________________________________,(your full name) have read and answered the above questions truthfully and have prayed the above prayer. I realize, now, that I am under oath before God to guard the great Mysteries of His Church and that should I divulge them to the unworthy, I condemn myself with His holy displeasure.
